So I guess I knew that the dogs would be jealous of the baby. And I sort of felt like since he came they've been slightly neglected. But I did not understand the height of the pathetic-ness (yep, it's a word) and lengths they would go to get our attention until I walked in on Harvey doing this:
That's the baby's bassinet and he is IN IT! I was packing to leave Augusta, feeling sad to leave Matt, and I put the bassinet on the bed. I guess Harvey saw this as his opportunity to play "baby" for a while. Also note the lining is torn....that's what happens when you dry everything on high heat and then have a serious determination that you did NOT in fact shrink yet another item, and it WILL fit back on, just like it did before. Sigh. Anyway, he continued to act pathetic and I gave him some extra attention for a few minutes just to remind him that I still love him. It also reminded me that no new baby, furry or human, will ever take this dog's place in my heart.
