Happy 1st B-day to Henbo!!!

HENRY IS ONE! What in the world....how can it be? My sweet little tiny baby cannot possibly have turned into such a big boy overnight! But indeed, he did. So sweet. So adorable. So perfect.

And so serious about eating. :) Here he is on the night of his big day. We have to feed him on a regular-sized plate instead of a little one because he eats so dang much.

Since his actual party wasn't until the following weekend, I got him this little cake from Publix to enjoy after dinner. And enjoy it he did....

Here he is making a wish. :)

Not sure at first....

This just might be yummy.

It IS yummy! It makes me SOOOO happy!

He basically destroyed it. We had to take it away so that Finn could have a small piece.

Of course everything is better when you put it in your hair.

The birthday fairy came!

Finn helped his brother celebrate with a little crib partying.

They were just a little hopped up on sugar.

Nan and Bop came to celebrate with the birthday boy! We had SUCH fun!!!

How do you keep the boys occupied while you make party food? Window markers! They LOVE them! C.C. found these and knew they'd get a kick out of them. They can stand at this window forever and draw.

Then it was time for the birthday party! Sadie came with C.C. and Fuzzy and we were so glad to see her. She thought Finn was hilarious!

So, Henry's not really a "people" person. I am fully aware of this fact. I knew he might be a little clingy with so many guests in attendance, but I had no idea how miserable he would actually be. Poor fellow! He wouldn't let me put him down for the entire party. I thought his favorite activity (eating of course) might distract him, but sadly, I was wrong.

This picture pretty much sums up his attitude about having 30 of our family and friends over to eat, drink, and be merry.

He tried to enjoy his cake, he really did.

Yum, sprinkles!

But soon, he just wanted me to get him down from the highchair. I think that little finger is scolding me for thinking this was a good idea.

And that hand is simultaneously wanting to slap me and cling to me like a little monkey.

Another effort at enjoying his cake.

Failed.

Poor thing. He did look so stinking adorable though!

How sad is this??? This is a trademark "Henry" face. He's making a sound that goes like this "OOOOooooooOOOOoooooOOO...."

"Get me OUT of here!!!"

Don't worry, I didn't torture him long. He was only sitting there for about 3 minutes total.

Here are a few of our darling and dashing party guests:

Everyone except the birthday boy had a great time. And he did enjoy opening all his gifts after his friends left. He doesn't even know yet how blessed he is to have so many people that love him already. And that's the best present of all!
